The journey continues to Taormina, with stunning views of Isola Bella aboard our van, before enjoying free time to explore its charming streets, historic monuments, and elegant shops at your own pace.

This excursion includes an itinerary in stages to let you know and appreciate places of particular natural value within the reserve of the Etna Park up to an altitude of about 2000 meters. Thanks to the experience of our staff, aboard 4x4 vehicles you will live an interesting and fun experience at the same time. Starting from the lava flows that threatened entire villages, you will visit the extinct craters and the lookout of the majestic Valle del Bove. You will visit a lava flow cave (lava tube) equipped with a helmet and speleologist lights. The tour will end with a tasting of Sicilian specialties. IMPORTANT NOTES: our meeting point in Trecastagni a MontataGrande accessible by car. It is possible to request pick-up from Catania or other countries. Surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscapes, you’ll explore some fascinating Craters, as well as recent lava fields from the volcano’s latest activity. Led by a certified nature guide, you’ll then delve into the underground world of a real lava cave, equipped with a helmet and headlamp. From here the route begins on foot, a fascinating stage will be that on some extinct craters, eruptive vents and lava fractures. It will continue to Barbagallo craters at 3000 meters. From here you can observe the majestic Summit Craters You will visit the effusive mouth of the 2002 eruption and from here you will descend along the sands to Montagnola from where you will observe the Valle del Bove, a great volcano-tectonic depression. Breathtaking views that few other places in the world can convey. The return walk by cable car allows you to take a last look at this enchanting lunar landscape, for about 4 hours of total walking
