Learn how it came to be the central hub of the Australian outback by visiting the historical sites that played a big part in the evolution of a town originally called Stuart and its progression to what Alice Springs is today.

View spectacular outback scenery and take photos as we travel along through magnificent Outback Country, stopping at the many historic locations. As we depart town we will stop at the historical Flynn’s Grave Memorial. Enjoy beautiful walks at both Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm. In the afternoon, tour the sights of 'The Alice' including The School of the Air, the historic Telegraph Station, and the Royal Flying Doctors Service, as well as the Alice Springs Reptile Centre. Visit the original Royal Flying Doctor Service Alice Springs working base that commenced in 1939. The half-day tour provides an excellent overview of Alice Springs, allowing you to explore the town and the picturesque East MacDonnell Ranges. Your adventure will begin with visits to several local attractions, including the Araluen Arts Centre, the Royal Flying Doctor Service Alice Springs Tour Facility, and the Anzac hill. After experiencing the town's highlights, you’ll head out to the surrounding countryside, where you’ll visit Emily Gap and Jessie Gap, two significant Aboriginal spiritual sites. Then you will visit Corroboree Rock where you will take a short walk with our guide around the rock base. Next you will visit Trephina Gorge nature park, and Australia the largest ghost gum tree.
