Andakistskali River
Anatori Necropolis is a historic burial site located near the village of Shatili in the mountainous Khevsureti region of Georgia. The necropolis is made up of ancient stone crypts built along the hillside, where victims of deadly epidemics were buried centuries ago. According to local history, people suffering from the plague came here voluntarily to prevent the disease from spreading to their communities. Today, the site remains one of the most unique and atmospheric landmarks in the region, combining dramatic mountain scenery with a powerful connection to Georgia’s past.
