Designed exclusively for cruise passengers, this shore excursion combines the highlights of ancient Ephesus with important early Christian heritage. Begin with a guided tour of Ephesus, where you’ll walk its marble streets and see the Library of Celsus, the Grand Theater, and other impressive ruins. Continue to the Basilica of St. John in Selçuk, built over the believed burial site of the Apostle John and offering great views of the region. After a tasty Turkish lunch, visit Claros, the serene oracle site of Apollo known for its sacred spring and mystical atmosphere. Guests wishing to relax before returning to the ship may add an optional traditional Turkish Bath experience.
