Tarangire National Park
Departing Arusha early in the morning after breakfast, you embark on a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, passing through Maasai villages and open savannahs. Arriving mid-morning, you enter the park and begin your first game drive, immediately immersed in a landscape of towering baobab trees and the winding Tarangire River. The park teems with wildlife—large herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and predators like lions and leopards. Around midday, you pause at a picnic site for lunch with sweeping views of the bush. The afternoon offers more game viewing, often in the golden light that highlights the dry plains and acacia woodlands. As the sun begins to set, you exit the park and head to your lodge or tented camp nearby, where you enjoy a warm dinner and relax under the stars, listening to the distant sounds of the African wilderness.
