Designated a National Sanctuary in 1983, The Grotto has attracted over ten million visitors. It continues to welcome people globally, offering spiritual and natural serenity, honoring Mary, the Sorrowful Mother of Jesus. The Grotto evolves to meet the needs of a changing world, fulfilling the dream and promise of Father Mayer through the dedication of those who serve here.
