You will be starting your tour at 8:00 am from the pier at the banks of the Sea of Parakrama. You will be provided with the traditional bamboo rods and a local fisherman will accompany you to guide you to the best spots and provide assistance if required. You will be taking a canoe out onto the water. The Parakrama Samudra was a 12th century creation of King Parakramabahu I. The monarch was a great engineer and had quite a few architecturally advanced monuments created in his time.
