Travel north for about 45 mins to the Cape winelands. Experience breath taking views and fantastic wine made with a whole lot of passion, heart and soul. In Fairview you enjoy your first Wine tasting for the day, paired with a selection of cow and goat's milk cheeses - Or an option of a winery of your choice.

Grande prison de Drakenstein
Continuing with our day, we stop over at Groot Drakenstein Prison. This is where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for his last fourteen months. It was through these gates that he walked out a free man in 1990. At these gates is a statue of Nelson Mandela. We stop for photos.

The Huguenot Memorial Monument
Driving on to Franschhoek Village. We enjoy a photo stop at the Huguenot Memorial. This commemorates the French Huguenots 250th year anniversary since arriving the the Valley of Franschhoek.

La Petite Ferme
Enjoy country style cuisine lunch (own expense), at La Petite Ferme, an award-winning restaurant. Franschhoek is dubbed the gourmet capital of South Africa.
The kitchen team at La Petite Ferme have expressed their creative freedom, experimenting with various flavours, ingredients and textures to create an authentic menu showcasing seasonal produce from the area.

Franschhoek
After lunch we enjoy a short walk through Franschhoek Village. Franschhoek is a town in South Africa’s Western Cape with centuries-old vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture. The Huguenot Memorial Museum and neighboring monument honor the area’s French settlers, who arrived in the 17th and 18th centuries

La Motte Wine Estate
The Franschhoek valley is decorated with mountain slopes and vineyards. Next stop is La Motte Wine Estate. Sample a variety of La Motte’s award-winning wines. Or an option of a winery of your choice.

Tokara Wine Estate
We journey on to our last wine tasting of the day located in Stellenbosch. This is a modern winery on a hilltop with breath taking vineyard views. Enjoy your wine tasting in the company of knowledgeable wine ambassadors who are on-hand to answer your questions to enhance your experience. Or an option of a winery of your choice.
From here we enjoy a 45 min drive back to the hotel.
