Your experience begins with a choice of pickup from selected locations in Tornio and Haparanda. After check‑in you have time to visit the area before the shuttle continues to Kemi Harbor to board the Icebreaker Sampo.
Once on board, you will be welcomed with a non‑alcoholic drink before joining a guided tour that introduces the vessel’s history and operations. The cruise travels through the frozen Gulf of Bothnia, where you can experience floating among the ice in a thermal survival suit. When conditions permit, you may also step out onto the frozen sea.

Bienvenue pour une aventure arctique unique au départ de Kemi ! Fort de plus de 35 ans d'expérience, le brise-glace Sampo navigue sur les eaux gelées de Kemi pendant la saison hivernale. La croisière comprend 4 heures de navigation sur brise-glace, une expérience de flottaison sur glace, une marche sur glace, une visite guidée du navire, un diplôme, un verre de bienvenue, un buffet déjeuner à bord et l'entrée à la salle d'exposition SnowExperience365.

SnowCastle area offers an unique snow & ice experience. Entrance to the SnowExperience365 exhibition is including in the Sampo cruise price. Entrance to the Winter Park and Gemstone exhibition, located at the SnowCastle area, are extra-fee services.
SnowExperience365 is a snow & ice exhibition room, open all year round. SnowExperience365 exhibition room consists ice sculptures, ice slide, ice bar and ice tables. SnowExperience365 is located in the SnowCastle area`s main building.
For additional price we recommend to visit the SnowCastle Winter Park and Gemstone exhibition located at the SnowCastle area. SnowCastle Winter park is open 20.1.- 6.4.2024. It is totally made of snow and it offers traditional Finnish snow activities for visitors in winter time . The Gemstone exhibition showcases jewelry and gemstones comprehensively from both Finland and around the world.
