Hello from Cyprus Taste Tours! We're a small team of true foodies and our activities focus on discovering Cyprus through food & wine... You’ll be driven into the Troodos mountains through carefully selected villages to visit 4-5 traditional product workshops and taste a variety of Cypriot delicacies. One of these stops will be a winery plus a visit to the scenic village of Lefkara. You'll experience foods* such as halloumi, village bread, wine, honey, donkey milk products and traditional sweets. Once we pick you up from your hotel, we will drive to the north part of the island, where we start with Salamis, founded by Teucer, in 1180 BC. We will visit the theater, the spa, and the gym. Here is where St. Barnabas was born and killed, the saint who had accompanied St. Paul during his journey through Cyprus. We will continue to the medieval city of Famagusta, whose mighty walls symbolize the city’s glory of its historic past and the need to defend itself against attacks from enemies. Next, we will visit the Cathedral of St. Nicholas (converted into the mosque of Lala Mustafa Pasha) in which, at the time of the Lusignani, the coronation of many of the rulers of Cyprus and Jerusalem took place. We will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets of Famagusta and see from the outside the citadel and the tower of Othello. Finally there will be a walk through the streets of Varosha, also known as Ghost town after the conflict of 1974.

Une petite équipe de vrais gourmets - nos activités se concentrent sur la découverte de Chypre à travers la gastronomie et le vin... Rien de tel que de déguster du halloumi frais et chaud, directement du pot, et lors de cette excursion en petit groupe, vous aurez de quoi vous régaler tout au long de la journée ! Vous serez pris en charge à l'endroit de votre choix à Ayia Napa et conduit dans la campagne montagneuse du Troodos jusqu'à l'atelier de fabrication de fromage d'un villageois. Vous participerez au processus du début à la fin et l'expérience se terminera par un délicieux brunch comprenant les fromages fabriqués et bien plus encore. Les activités ne s'arrêtent pas là : vous serez emmené plus loin dans les villages de montagne pour visiter d'autres producteurs locaux et le pittoresque village de Lefkara. Au cours de cet après-midi de découverte, vous dégusterez de l'huile d'olive chypriote, du miel local, des pâtisseries traditionnelles et d'autres spécialités ! Aujourd'hui, nous visiterons l'est de Chypre. Notre programme comprend de nombreux sites, Famagouste étant l'une des villes historiques à visiter en peu de temps. Le monastère Saint-Barnabé sera notre premier arrêt de la journée. À son retour à Chypre, alors qu'il propageait le christianisme, il nous racontera ce qui lui était arrivé. Votre guide vous racontera l'histoire de la ville antique de Salamine. Vous y découvrirez son théâtre, ses latrines, son gymnase et d'autres sites. Famagouste est une cité médiévale qui conserve des vestiges de cultures historiques. Vous verrez la cathédrale Saint-Nicolas et le palais vénitien, parmi les sites inclus au programme. Nous ne pouvons pas rentrer sans avoir visité la ville fantôme. Y a-t-il des fantômes dans les environs ? Attendez d'entendre votre guide vous raconter tout cela. Ce sera une journée inoubliable avec de nombreuses possibilités de photos, alors dépêchez-vous de réserver cette excursion.
