Hiking up Table Mountain via Kloof Corner Ridge is not recommended for anyone who suffers from a fear of heights. The route includes steep rock-scrambling sections together with three chain-assisted climbs ranging from about 7–10m in height. The trail follows a thrilling line along a classic ridge, offering breathtaking views of Lion’s Head, Cape Town and Camps Bay. It starts gradually with long sweeping zigzags until reaching the Contour Path. Turn left along the Contour Path to a chain descending a rocky step. This first 5 metre ascent leads onto a narrow ledge. From there, follow several cairns into a gully and continue along the ledge to a long chimney crack where the second chain hangs ...
