Local guide will pick you up from your Beijing downtown hotel at confirmed time, and escort you to the sightseeing in the royal park. Being the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, Summer Palace greatly influences Chinese horticulture and landscape. It is recognized as 'The Museum of Royal Gardens' and ranked amongst the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1998.
Follow your guide to visit the lakeside pavilion of Marble Boat, the richly painted Long Corridor, take a boat riding on the Kunming Lake (Boat Riding is closed in Winter, this part will be switched to visiting of Buddhist Incense Tower – a symbolic structure and classic work of Chinese architecture), listen to your guide's commentary of the royal history and enjoy the stunning scenery. After around 3 hours sightseeing of the Summer Palace, return to your hotel and bid farewell to your guide to conclude the half day trip.
