During this introductory stand-up paddleboarding session, guests learn the basics of paddling through guided instruction from local Māori instructors. The experience begins on land with equipment setup, safety guidance, and technique before moving onto the water. Guests practice balance, paddling, and board control while exploring Mount Maunganui’s coastline, enjoying views of Mauao and the surrounding coastal scenery. Instruction continues on the water, allowing guests to build confidence and connection to the moana in real coastal conditions.
