Kashihara Shrine, located in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture, is a shrine dedicated to the first emperor, Emperor Jimmu. Built on the site of the former Kashihara Palace, where Emperor Jimmu is said to have ascended to the throne, it is known as the birthplace of Japan. It is notable for its main hall, which was relocated from the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and the vast grounds contain not only the shrine buildings but also beautiful forests and ponds, and are said to bring good fortune, health, and longevity.

Imaichono Machinami
Imaicho originated as a medieval temple town in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture, and was a prosperous commercial town during the Edo period, to the point that it was said that "Imai accounted for seven-tenths of Yamato's gold." It is currently designated as an "Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings," and the townscape from that time remains in an area of approximately 600 meters east to west and 310 meters north to south. It is home to approximately 500 traditional buildings and numerous cultural assets, including nine nationally designated Important Cultural Properties, and has been designated as a "Japan Heritage Site" for its Edo period atmosphere.

Horyu-ji Temple

Located in Ikaruga Town, Ikoma District, Nara Prefecture, Horyuji Temple is a historic temple with over 1,300 years of history. It is the head temple of the Shotoku sect (a Buddhist sect) and is also known as the temple associated with Prince Shotoku. Famous for being the world's oldest wooden structure, Horyuji Temple still boasts surviving structures, many of which are designated as national treasures or important cultural properties. The number of national treasures alone is 38 (150 items), and including important cultural properties, the total number is an astounding 3,000.
