We will start our Pamukkale Hierapolis tour by exploring the Pamukkale mountain and its terraces. The rock formations in Pamukkale contain hot spring with terraces of carbonate minerals that relax for bathing. Travertine is a kind of rock. As a result of chemical reactions, precipitation has occurred on the rocks.
Pamukkale travertines & Natural Spring Water
The area where Pamukkale travertines are located is a thermal region with many hot water sources. The temperature of the hot water sources coming out in seventeen different sources ranges from 35 degrees to 100 degrees. These spring waters have been used for medical purposes since ancient times. Hierapolis Arkeoloji Muzesi
After wandering in Pamukkale, we will go to the ancient city of Hierapolis. This ancient city, which was famous for its baths in historical times, is a civilization that has hosted many people who want to treat themselves.
