Tama Shop
Kishi Station is a charming and unique destination in Wakayama. The station building itself is an architectural delight, featuring a thatched roof designed to resemble a cat's face. Visitors can meet the current stationmaster cat, enjoy cat-themed sweets at the "Tama Cafe," and browse adorable original souvenirs. As the terminal stop of the colorful Kishigawa Line, it offers a heartwarming and photogenic experience for travelers of all ages. It is a must-visit spot that perfectly blends rural Japanese scenery with a playful.

Kongobu-ji
The head temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect. The building with a grand entrance was rebuilt in 1863. The main hall is a large structure with 30 east-west rooms and 35 north-south rooms. In the hall, there is a sliding door painting by Kano Tanyu, “Crane in a group of pine trees,” and in the willow room, where Toyotomi Hideji committed suicide, there is a painting by Kano Tansai, “Snow Willow and White Eagle.

Koyasan Danjo Garan
When Odaishi founded Koyasan, he was the first to begin construction of this site. Odaishi actually stepped on the ground and poured his heart and soul into the construction of pagodas and halls based on esoteric Buddhism. The temple's mandala is said to represent the world of the “Tainzo Mandala.

Koyasan Okunoin
Koyasan's largest sacred area, centering on the mausoleum of Kobo Daishi. The approach to Okunoin Temple leading from Ichinobashi Bridge is lined with more than 200,000 tombstones of warring feudal lords such as Shingen Takeda and famous people such as Koji Tsuruta, among others, in a dense cedar grove. After about 2 km along the approach, visitors will arrive at the mausoleum where Daishi entered the temple, and where the Suimukoba with its 14 golden Buddha statues, the lantern hall, and the mausoleum all sit quietly.
