Itinerary
1
Mossel Bay Harbour
Meet your skipper and professional crew at Mossel Bay Harbour, where your whale watching adventure begins. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a warm welcome followed by a comprehensive safety briefing, including important guidelines for responsible marine wildlife viewing. Life jackets are provided for all guests before boarding your fully equipped safari vessel.
10 minutes
2
Mossel Bay
Cruise through the sheltered waters of Mossel Bay while searching for Southern Right, Humpback, and Bryde's Whales in their natural habitat. Your experienced skipper and crew will provide informative commentary about the region's marine ecosystem, whale behaviour, migration patterns, and local conservation efforts. Depending on the season, you may also encounter Bottlenose Dolphins, seabirds, and other marine life.
3
Seal Island
Spend an extended portion of your marine safari around the famous Seal Island, home to thousands of Cape Fur Seals in their natural ocean habitat. Here, you’ll observe large colonies of seals swimming, resting on the rocks, and interacting in the water, while your guide explains their behaviour and ecological importance within the Mossel Bay marine ecosystem.
This area is also a prime wildlife hotspot, offering frequent sightings of Bottlenose Dolphins, seabirds, and occasionally Great White Sharks in the surrounding waters. Because whale activity is often concentrated in the same region, this stop forms the core wildlife viewing zone of the entire safari experience.
