We take our time as the evening twilight sets in a slow pace - keeping a good lookout at both sides. Moose encounters must be treated with respect and caution, so at any spotting we stop and assess this magnificent animals behaviour. Signs may indicate a calm retreat or an opportunity to stay and watch.

The bike ride follows the quiet asphalt road of Straumøya with its large population of moose (elk). We spend 3 hours on the road - and if the tide is with us we include a visit to the worlds strongest maelstrom Saltstraumen as well.
