Star Mosque (Tara Masjid)
A local nobleman, Mirza Ghulam Pir (d. 1860), originally built the mosque and hence it was known as Mirza Ghulam Pir Mosque. Later, in 1926, a businessman named Ali Jan Bepari renovated the mosque, adding stars and other motifs. The mosque then got its present name Tara (also Sitara) Masjid.

Ahsan Manzil
Ahsan Manzil is also known as the Pink Palace. This was the official residential palace and seat of the Nawab of Dhaka. The building is situated at Kumartoli along the banks of the Buriganga River in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Construction was started in 1859 and was completed in 1872. It was constructed in the Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture. It has been designated as a national museum.
