Itinerary
Meet Your Guide at Sólheimajökull Base Camp Start your adventure with a safety briefing and gear-up session. Your certified glacier guide will provide crampons, helmets, and ice axes—no experience needed.
Scenic Walk to the Glacier (15–20 minutes) Follow a short trail past volcanic landscapes and glacial lagoons while learning about the glacier’s retreat and the impact of climate change.
Step Onto the Glacier (Approx. 1 Hour on Ice) Once on the ice, explore a surreal landscape of blue crevasses, ice ridges, and meltwater channels. Your guide will lead you safely across the surface, explaining glacier features and formation along the way.
