North Fields Coffee and Chocolate Tour offers a two and a half hour local family owned experience in Costa Rica, located close to Arenal Volcano area and its hot springs As you move through our fields, you’ll follow the entire process step by step, from freshly picked coffee cherries and cacao pods to the crafted flavors you’ll later enjoy. Walk the plantation: Stroll through coffee and cacao fields while your guide points out beans, pods, and the different plantations around the property. From seed to cup and bar: Learn how coffee cherries and cacao pods are harvested, dried, roasted, and transformed through traditional methods used in Costa Rica. This activity will lead to our Sloth Park to start, we will walk trough the rainforest 1.5 to 2 hours inside the trails and you can get to see two and three toes sloths and some poisonous froags and snakes even birds. Done with the hike we will visit the second section of the the park to get your amazing chocolate coffee and sugar tasting along all the information provided in by our tour guides. Don Juan Tours Arenal is a family business that through its tours teach visitors the whole process behind two very important products worldwide, Coffee and Chocolate. At this Coffee and Chocolate Tour, we will teach you the entire Coffee process, from the seed to the delicious cup of coffee. Once the coffee tour is finished, we will start with the sweetest part of the tour, the delicious chocolate. Like coffee, we will talk about the entire Chocolate process, from the seed to the delicious chocolate bar and we will end up selecting some members of the group to grind the cacao beans and make their own chocolate bar. Once finished you will have the opportunity to taste several types of chocolate such as Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate.

In Eden Chocolate Tour you'll experience an hour and 45 minutes tour. A first part is held in our cocoa organic plantation where the visitor can see the cocoa flower, the cocoa trees, the fermentation and sun-dried process of the cocoa beans. A second part is inside the Ranch where the visitor can roast and grind the cocoa beans; also the conching and refining process of the chocolate. At the end, the visitor can make his own chocolate bonbons.
