Carti Parking and Boat Terminal

The tour starts in the port of Carti. Contact our office for exact driving directions and instructions. Plan to arrive no later than 8:30am. Only 4x4 vehicles are allowed entry into San Blas territory. All other cars and SUVs will not be allowed to enter the territory and you will lose your tour.

Explore and enjoy Asserya Island

Arrival & Transportation If driving to San Blas, plan to arrive no later than 8:30 AM in an SUV/4x4. Smaller cars will be turned back at the border. Your boat departs from Barsucún Port (one of Cartí’s three ports). Contact us if you’d like help arranging round-trip transport. ⚓ Check-in & Boat Ride The port check-in may feel busy, but the Guna community runs a reliable system and all guests are assisted. During the boat transfer, your lancha may make brief stops at nearby islands to pick up or drop off other travelers. ️ Arrival at Isla Asserya You’ll reach Isla Asserya by 9:30–10:00 AM, just 15 minutes from the port. Relax on white-sand beaches, swim in crystal-clear waters, or snorkel the nearby shallow reef filled with colorful fish. Cabins All cabins feature wooden floors and private bathrooms, offering a rustic yet comfortable island experience.
