The trail gradually ascends toward the alpine zone, leading to the stunning Tempanos Lagoon and the impressive Vinciguerra Glacier, one of Ushuaia’s hidden natural gems. Weather and group conditions permitting, we will continue closer to the glacier to admire its crevasses, blue ice formations, and unique moulins. After enjoying unforgettable panoramic views and incredible photo opportunities, we return along the same trail before heading back to your hotel. Important: Proper mountain clothing is required for safety reasons. If needed, trekking gear rental is available before departure.

We will take you to live the most demanding adventure of the end of the world where you will reach a glacier accompanied by a high mountain professional guide who will constantly assist you to finish the adventure safely. The transport will pick us up at the accommodation and will take us 7 km from the city of Ushuaia to the valley of Andorra. We begin the demanding ascent through the forest and typical Fuegian vegetation. After an arduous walk and halfway you can see the magnificent landscapes of millenary peat that surround us. Then we cross the border of vegetation (timberland) where an imposing lagoon and the Vinciguerra Glacier awaits us with its most incredible ice caves in the world that generate great admiration for nature. While we enjoy this wonderful place, we will charge energy by eating our box lunch. Once finished we take photos and we will be willing to undertake the return, with the same requirement; perhaps with the luck of finding some beaver and many more experiences

Welcome to one of the most impressive natural wonders of Ushuaia: The Vinciguerra glacier is a spectacle of nature. With its ice peaks rising into the blue sky and its imposing crevasses, this glacier will take your breath away. Its shades of bright blue and white contrast with the surrounding landscape of forests and mountains, creating a stunning and photogenic sight.

Departure from the hotel towards the Tierra Mayor Valley, in this great snow-covered valley we begin the journey in sleds pulled by Huskies, after crossing the valley we enter the forest by an old lumberjack path, in the middle of this hundred-year-old Lenga forest we arrive at the refuge del Hachero (small log cabin heated by firewood). We say goodbye to the Huskies and our guide helps us put on our snowshoes (without which we would not be able to walk due to the thickness of the snow that normally reaches a meter), the objective: The Alvear Icefall and the Valle viewpoint, the Returning to the refuge is faster and more fun since it is downhill and culminates in the Hachero refuge. In the refuge we recover energy with a hot chocolate. From the logger's refuge we return to the Tierra Mayor valley walking with snowshoes.

We leave the hotel heading north through the upper part of the city towards the Andorra Valley, where the trail that will take us to the Vinciguerra Glacier begins. Along the way we will enjoy a variety of landscapes such as peat bogs, lush forests of lenga trees and end in the high altitude valley of the Milk River, which is located in the vicinity of the glacier. Here you can take advantage of the wonderful views of the area, and if the weather is good we will take a short break. We continue along the side of the river and finally reach the Laguna de los Témpanos. Here we will continue bordering the lagoon until we reach the imposing Vinciguerra Glacier. The landscape will reveal a mysterious world of crevasses and sinkholes that you will be able to immortalize in photographs. Once the experience is over, we resume our march, in this case descending towards the Andorra Valley, and then return with the transfer to the hotel.

We leave from the hotel towards the Tierra Mayor Valley, the guide will give us the instructions to start the journey together, crossing the valley in the middle of the winter night, a path of torches marks the WAY to the entrance to the forest until we reach the hut, where the cook awaits us with the brochettes and the native stew cooked on the fire. Fuegian wines and the specialty of the night, "the Hachero's coffee", dinner is nuanced with a guitar.
