If you’re arriving on the morning ferry into Penneshaw, you can join the tour there on selected departures, making this an easy option for day‑trippers from Adelaide or Cape Jervis. Pick up from Kingscote / American River Accommodation or Kingscote Airport. Have a cuppa with some home-made treats before taking a walk down a country track where koalas snooze overhead. Discover the north coast of the island, looking for small wallabies almost extinct on the mainland, a kangaroo found only on Kangaroo Island and a variety of other birds, plants and animals. Then head through a secret tunnel in the rocks to reach a hidden beach with crystal-clear waters, a natural rock pool and open bay that is a local favourite. Break for lunch at a private bush camp and enjoy a delicious meal featuring King George whiting (local sea fish), fresh salads accompanied by premium local wines, beer and sodas. At Seal Bay Conservation Park take a private tour among Australian sea-lions on a beautiful sandy beach. Watch pups nursing or playing in the surf, see old bulls bearing the scars of territorial disputes and learn about their unique breeding biology.

Travel in a comfortable and modern 4wd to visit Seal Bay, take a stroll on the boardwalk to observe the Sea Lions sleeping on the beach, look for Koalas at Flinders Chase National Park and enjoy a gourmet BBQ lunch with KI wines (included on the package). After lunch, visit the Flinders Chase National Park, home of Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks and have a nice cup of coffee watching the the sunset at Vivonne Bay. You will have an experienced tour guide all for your group (max 8 passengers) and with their experience you will be able to observe the wildlife in their natural habitat. ***Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for cruise ship passengers arriving to the island because we will finish later than the last ship tender***
