Summer is the best time of the year to see pods of juvenile and baby dolphins. Join us on this two hour private boat tour as we explore the calm waters behind Folly Beach in search of the local bottlenose dolphins. As we cruise through the creeks and inlets, you will have the opportunity to see these beautiful animals play, sleep and hunt. If the dolphins are feeding, you may be able to observe a hunting strategy called “strand feeding,” only seen in this part of the world. Along the way, you will also have the chance to see other local wildlife, such as wading birds, bald eagles, osprey, pelicans or maybe a sea turtle. We'll depart from and return to the Folly River Boat Ramp and enjoy a scenic boat ride through the salt marsh creeks of Folly Island to historic Morris Island. Once on Morris Island, you’ll have the opportunity to walk the beach in search of shells, shark teeth, and other fossils. From Morris Island you will also enjoy breathtaking up-close views of the historic Morris Island lighthouse. During your journey to and from the island, you will enjoy numerous sightings of Bottlenose Dolphins and other saltwater wildlife.

As we make our way through the creeks to Morris Island, you will have the opportunity to see dolphins and wading birds in the marsh and oyster beds. We will land on the south end of Morris Island, near the Lighthouse, where you will have 90 minutes to walk the beach on your own to look for shells, shark teeth and fossils. As we make our way back to the dock, you will likely see dolphins as the inlet behind the island is one of their favorite places to hang out.

On this tour, you will have the opportunity to experience history and the local wildlife around Folly. While we cruise through the waters along Folly Beach, you will have the opportunity to see tons of wildlife, like dolphins, sea turtles, and birds, and once we reach Morris Island, you will be in one of the best places in the world to find shark teeth.
