Xochimilco
Xochimilco, which in Nahuatl means “Field of Flowers”, is distinguished by rain canals existing since pre-Hispanic times, when the Mexico Valley was part of a large number of lakes and lagoons, almost in its entirety.
Today a big part of the nature of Xochimilco prevails, combined with cultural elements of its pre-Hispanic origins, art, and colonial culture, marimba, mariachis, parties, and Trajineras (Mexican Gondolas), turning it now into one of the most attractive and interesting places in Mexico City that every visitor wishes to visit.

2
Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli
The name Anahuacalli means "house surrounded by water" in Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs; it was designed by Mexican artist Diego Rivera to house his massive collection of pre-Hispanic art.
The building is made out of the volcanic rock that is prevalent in this area which is also known as "El Pedregal" (the rocky place), due to the eruption of the Xitle volcano.

3
UNAM Biblioteca central
It is the main library in the Ciudad Universitaria Campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and holds one of the largest book collections in Mexico.
It is a World Heritage site protected by UNESCO whose facade is covered with various murals, which were desinged by Juan O'Gorman.

Coyoacan
Coyoacán, which in Nahuatl means "place of coyotes", is now the most famous neighborhood in the south of Mexico City and has become a rich pocket of art and history since houses lots of cultural places, galleries, and spaces where artists and artisans can promote their works.
Also known as the neighborhood where renowned personalities like Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera or David Alfaro Siqueiros lived and expressed their art, is the perfect place to discover more about Mexico's daily life.

Museo Casa Kahlo
Also known as "The Red House", a contemporary museum that offers an intimate look into Frida’s inner world. The exhibits feature personal belongings, photographs, letters, and symbolic elements of her identity and artistry. As you explore the museum, your guide will share insights into the struggles, love, and politics that shaped one of Mexico’s most powerful creative voices.
