1
take you there tours
Meet your personal guide, Cara, at Elizabeth Quay or request a complimentary pickup from your CBD hotel or accommodation.
Get ready for a tour that showcases a beautiful blend of Australian and WA native wildflowers, seasonal blooms and canola fields.
Today is about slowing down and truly taking in your surroundings. The more you look, the more you’ll discover, perhaps a rare Black Kangaroo Paw or a delicate purple Fringe lilly?
Nature is subjective and beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Even introduced species like the Arum lily, or roadside pink gladiolus weeds can create a striking impression along the journey.

Kings Park und Botanischer Garten
The Kings Park wildflower festival is not just a display, it’s a seasonal highlight of Perth showcasing thousands of wildflowers with over 3,000 WA plant species on display.
Offering stunning views, Kings Park overlooks both the Swan River and Perth city skyline at the same time.
Take a leisurely hour to explore one of the largest inner city parks in the world. Garden displays are designed to be in peak bloom throughout September, making it the perfect time for photography enthusiasts to capture vibrant colour and detail.

Djidi-Djidi Ridge
Djidi Djidi Ridge is a hidden wildflower haven in the scenic Chittering Valley. In spring, the ridge comes alive with colourful native blooms including orchids, everlastings, ground covers and kangaroo paws.
Supplied with a wildflower map, see how many you can find by taking a gentle 1.5km short walk through the native bushland to a panoramic lookout offering sweeping views over the valley.
If you would prefer to simply relax and enjoy your surroundings, take a seat at the picnic tables under the Redgums as we bring out the thermos, tea, coffee and chocolate biscuits.

Shire of Victoria Plains
From here the drive takes us past the Wheatbelt’s vibrant canola fields, rolling landscapes turn brilliant shades of gold when in season.
Enjoy the scenic country drive with photo stops that give an unforgettable snapshot of rural Western Australia in bloom.
Canola is in flower for just four weeks each year, making them all the more special to experience in person. The timing of each field’s display is shaped by farmers’ planting schedules and the rhythms of nature.

Benedictine Monastery of New Norcia
Next is a lunch stop like no other, a home style and wholesome three course meal with a glass of wine in the dinning quarters of the historic New Norcia monastery.
Lunch at New Norcia is less about luxury dining and more about the authenticity that is aligned with the monastery’s philosophy of hospitality and simplicity.
Our lunch stop reflects the traditions of the Benedictine monastic lifestyle which is simple, seasonal and thoughtfully prepared.

New Norcia
Explore the historic township of New Norcia, where seasonal blooms and wildflowers meet centuries old architecture. Flowers often grow within and around the heritage buildings, lining verges and open spaces. This makes New Norcia one of the easiest places to experience wildflowers without venturing far.
Admire the pink and white everlastings outside the 117 year old St Gertrude’s College, with its striking Gothic Revival architecture. Wander among fields of petite yellow daisies that appear throughout the olive groves and around the Old Flour Mill.
Beneath the beauty lies New Norcia’s layered historic past, and it’s this contrast that makes it so compelling. Bright, fleeting wildflowers bring colour and light, offering quiet moments of reflection.

The 165 year old building now serves as the Visitor Information Centre, Museum and Art Gallery. It is here you will find the Charles Gardner botanical collection, A dedicated room showcasing botanical art by Charles Austin Gardner, a pioneer WA botanist who bequeathed this collection to the Benedictine community at New Norcia.

Siverina Estate
What better way to finish the day than with a wine tasting experience at a winery that also specializes in growing Australian natives and wildflowers?
Siverina Estate is a family owned winery and flower farm, they produce small batch warm climate wines.
In addition to grapes, Siverina grows native wildflowers used by local florists which show case on many of their wine labels.
Sample a selection of wines including Cara's favourite "The Chittering Chardonnay" which features the yellow Kangaroo paw on its label. Other popular choices include the Cab Sav with the striking scarlet banksia or the Silver Princess Eucalyptus Rosè.
Sip on a glass of wine as you watch the billy buttons sway in the wind, count the different Kangaroo paw varieties or photograph the colourful Geraldton Wax.
