Miradouro Da Vista Dos Barcos
Discover one of the best guarded secrets of the eastern coast of São Miguel. The Miradouro da Vista dos Barcos, located in the picturesque county of the Northeast, offers one of the most dramatic and authentic panoramas of the Azores archipelago.
What to expect:
The First View of the Earth: Historically, this was the first point of sight for ships crossing the Atlantic towards the island. Feel the same emotion when you contemplate the blue vastness that extends to the horizon.
The iconic Arnel Lighthouse: Prepare your chamber. From this viewpoint, you will have the perfect view of the Arnel Lighthouse, the oldest of the Azores. Nestled precariously in an imposing cliff, the contrast between the white of the lighthouse, the green of the vegetation and the deep blue of the ocean is a dream for any photographer.
Vertical Geography: Observe from above the small fishing harbor and the houses of the lighthouses. The slope slope here is breathtaking, revealing the strength of the island’s volcanic nature.
