The Capo market is one of the two historic markets of Palermo.
Surrounded by baroque churches and street food, the colors and scents mix with the street food specialties that you can taste.
The main access to the market is from Porta Carini, one of the three gates of the northern wall still standing.
Walking along via Porta Carini, among the stalls, you can admire the facades of some churches or monuments.

Historical centre of Palermo
The walk will continue through the narrow streets to arrive at the Cathedral, one of the most impressive monuments of the city. The set of styles confirms the presence of the different dominations that have succeeded one another in Sicily over the centuries.
The Cathedral overlooks the "Cassaro" so called by the Arabs, officially Via Vittorio Emanuele. It is the oldest street in Palermo, overlooked by numerous noble palaces.
