Kibera
Kibera is the largest slum in Africa and one of the largest in the world.50% of the booking fee goes back to the community.
There are 5 stops during this experience;
1. Open Air Market
From the meeting point, we will pass through an open air market. This is one of the local markets where people from kibera slum do their shopping. Mainly second-hand clothes are sold here.
2. View Point
We will then go to a view point where you will see the general view of kibera slum. We will explain more about the history and the current situation of kibera.
3. Children Centre
You will then visit a children centre where you meet and interact with some of the children in kibera.
4. Home visit
We then welcome you to one of the houses to see the inside living standards of the people. The families are very friendly and very welcoming.
5. Public Bus
Finally we will take a public bus/Matatu to take you back to the meeting point. This is optional.
We are very flexible and can customize to match your interest.
