Transportation from Chisinau to "Marta and Maria" Monastery will take about 90 minutes.

Our accredited guide will meet you at the hotel/apartment and will accompany you up to Marta & Maria Monastery, located in Hagimus locality, Căușeni district, approximately 75 kilometers southeast of Chisinau. The monastery has a relatively new history, which dates back to May 26, 1997. The holy place was founded by the late Bishop of Edineț and Briceni, Dorimedont (1961-2006), then the abbot of the Noul-Neamț monastery, Chițcani, at the proposal of the archpriest STC inspector Andrei, currently the priest of the Marta and Maria monastery - Archimandrite Andrei /Cotruța/. It is a nunnery, and at the moment there are approximately 70 nuns who live on the territory of the monastery.

At Chateau Purcari Winery, wines under the Purcari brand, popular in Central and Eastern Europe, are produced. The winery manages about 320 hectares of vineyards, situated in the region with Protected Geographical Indication "Ștefan Vodă". Purcari, the oldest winery in the Republic of Moldova, was established in 1827 and is the most famous winery in the country. The Purcari vineyards are located at the same latitude as France's famous wine region, Bourdeaux. Purcari wines are popular at royal courts and were requested by historical personalities such as the Russian Emperor Nicholas II, King George V and Queen Victoria. Travellers do a tour of the “Purcari” Winery that takes a duration of about 45 minutes. Visit of the industrial and historical part of the factory.
