Upper Belvedere Palace
During this tour you will see the most striking works of Austrian art. And engaging interactions for kids will make this museum experience unforgettable for the whole family!
You'll see masterpieces of Austrian art from Gothic to Modernism, including Messerschmidt's "Character Heads," and David's "Napoleon on the St. Bernard Pass" and, of course, Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss." And at each painting you will see how they tell of Austria's past and how they relate to the present. And to make our experience not only educational, but also emotional, be prepared for comparisons and experiences!
You will learn different ways of reading works from different periods. You'll learn the rules for perceiving altarpieces, you'll see what remained unchangable in the creation of portraits, and you'll understand when a landscape become an art phenomenon.
