Port Elliot Obelisk
During your tour, you'll pause at the Port Elliot Obelisk, a historic landmark perched atop Freeman’s Nob. This 7.7-metre-high cream-coloured obelisk, constructed in 1852, once served as a navigational aid for ships entering the harbour, with a blue flag raised to indicate safe passage .
From the lookout, enjoy panoramic views over Horseshoe Bay, Boomer Beach, and the surrounding coastline. The area is also renowned for whale watching, particularly during the winter months when southern right whales and their calves are often visible from the shore.
