Harbour Quay
The Alberni Harbour Quay features a colourful collection of waterfront shops, galleries, and eateries, and is also where you'll find the clock tower, which grants panoramic views of the Alberni Inlet. The Spirit Square Farmer's Market (link is external)on Saturday mornings is always busy. You will also find the boarding area for the MV Frances Barkley, a passenger and freight vessel that offers scenic journeys to Bamfield and Ucluelet on the west coast. Take a stroll to view the commercial fishing fleet, large shipping vessels and pleasure craft marinas. There's also a children's park for families to spend the afternoons.

Canso Plane Crash Hike
One night on 10 February 1945, a Canso bomber plane was flying out with a crew of 12 onboard. An engine malfunctioned and it crashed into the trees. The quick thinking of the pilot saved the lives of all onboard and the entire crew was reduced 11 hours later.

Cox Bay Beach is just south of Chesterman (with Rosie Bay in-between) and is a great beach for surfing, although it can be a bit tough getting out to the green at times for beginners. Fun beach to walk end to end with tide pools at the south end and Sunset Point Walk at the north.
