Andy Warhol bought a townhouse for himself, his mother, and a lot of cats on Lexington Avenue in 1960. A little later that year he rented a studio space around the corner and began to create more and more art with more and more assistance.

After a brief subway ride we'll look at the historically more fashionable section of Park Avenue. We'll see the townhouse used in the movie Breakfast at Tiffanys, the homes of Swans like Slim Keith and of Superstars like Edie Sedgewick.

Our final stop is to discuss the Black and White Ball at the Plaza Hotel. Truman Capote threw the "Party of the Century" to celebrate the publication of In Cold Blood and invited all the most interesting people in the world, including Andy Warhol
