On the way through, we drive into Heritage Golf and Country Club — two Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole courses, a residential estate, and home to the Yarra Valley Lodge Hotel. But the real reason we slow down here is the locals: a large mob of wild kangaroos that lives right on the course.
