We will begin the morning heading to San Juan de Oriente, world-renowned manufacturer of detailed clay and ceramics pieces. San Juan de Oriente is a town of indigenous descent that bases its economy on the elaboration of handicrafts. We will visit the house of a local artisan where we can observe the elaborate pieces, and learn the whole process of this ancestral practice. It will amaze you to learn how they also make their own paint to decorate their works of art.

Our excursion continues to the Mirador de Catarina, where we will enjoy the impressive view of Laguna de Apoyo and in the distance, but equally impressive Lake Cocibolca, the city of Granada and the Mombacho Volcano. During the visit to this picturesque village we will have the opportunity to taste delicious local fruits.

Le marché artisanal de Masaya est réputé pour sa grande variété de produits. On y trouve de tout, du simple stylo avec l'emblème national aux produits en cuir et en bois, en passant par des hamacs et même un tableau d'un célèbre artiste nicaraguayen.

Parc national du volcan Masaya. Le parc national abrite un musée volcanologique où vous pourrez découvrir l'histoire, les éruptions et la formation du volcan, ainsi que les mythes et légendes qui y ont marqué son histoire. Le volcan Masaya est l'un des plus actifs du pays. Nous atteindrons son cratère, où les appareils photo sont indispensables pour immortaliser cette expérience unique.
