Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
Take in the beautiful natural landscapes as you relax on a scenic drive along the winding mountain roads of Doi Suthep.
Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Chiang Mai’s most revered and iconic temples, located on the mountainside at an elevation of approximately 1,056 meters (3,464 feet). A popular Thai saying goes, “If you haven’t seen Doi Suthep, you haven’t been to Chiang Mai.” The saying reflects the temple’s importance as one of the city’s most beloved cultural and spiritual landmarks.
Take the cable car up to the temple and admire the magnificent golden chedi and beautiful Lanna-style architecture. From the temple grounds, enjoy panoramic views of Chiang Mai city and the surrounding countryside.
