I miss Tsuivan more than anything when I’m away from home. So I built an experience around the dish that brings me back.
We’ll start at Chinggis Square and walk through the neighborhoods of Ulaanbaatar that shaped my life. We won’t follow a typical sightseeing route; we’ll explore the streets I grew up on, from markets and schoolyards to the railway station where I sold soda as a kid. This is Ulaanbaatar as it’s lived, not just photographed.
Then we’ll go home. My home, on the tenth floor, with the city below us. We’ll slow down over herbal tea, learn Shagai, a traditional Mongolian ankle bone game, and cook together.
You’ll roll the dough, cut the noodles, prepare the ingredients, and co...

MEET ME AT CHINGGIS SQUARE —
I’ll be at the Sukhbaatar statue holding a Serey Travel sign. We’ll meet and begin our walk.
WALK THROUGH MY ULAANBAATAR —
Around 7 km through neighborhoods most visitors never see — local markets, schoolyards, railway district where I sold soda as a kid, and the park where my family gathered every Children’s Day. Every street has a story.
COME HOME WITH ME —
We arrive at my tenth-floor home overlooking the city. We slow down with herbal tea and play Shagai, a traditional Mongolian ankle bone game.
COOK TSUIVAN TOGETHER —
Into the kitchen. You’ll roll the dough, cut the noodles, and cook alongside me, the way Tsuivan has been made in Mongolian homes for generations.
SHARE THE MEAL YOU CREATED —
By the time we sit down, the meal on the table is yours. You made it. We share it together.
TAKE A PIECE OF MONGOLIA HOME —
You'll leave with a full stomach, a Tsuivan recipe card, your own Shagai set, and memories of an afternoon around a Mongolian table.
