El-Jem
One of the largest Roman amphitheatres. Its size and design are comparable to the famous Colosseum in Rome. The amphitheater is built primarily of limestone and its structure has remained surprisingly well preserved over the centuries. Although it has suffered damage and looting in the past, much of its original architecture is still standing, including stands, underground passages and entrances. Visiting the El Djem Coliseum is an impressive experience for history and architecture lovers.

Matmata
Matmata is a small city located in southern Tunisia, known for its underground residential structures, known as “troglodytes”. These houses are carved into the rock and are characterized by having rooms that are located inside wells dug into the ground. This traditional architecture has been used by local communities for centuries as a way to protect themselves from the extreme heat of the desert.
The city gained international recognition thanks to its appearance in the film Star Wars, where it was used as a setting to represent the planet Tatooine. Fans of the saga can visit some of the locations used in the films and experience the feeling of being in an alien world.
