Omodos
Hidden among the Troodos hills, Omodos is a village where tradition shapes daily life. At its heart stands the Monastery of the Holy Cross, one of Cyprus’s oldest religious sites, housing a relic believed to be a piece of the rope used to tie Jesus to the cross. Wander through quiet stone alleys, explore local wine cellars, and visit craft workshops. Stroll along cobblestone streets to the village square, lined with cafés and shops selling local products. You’ll also see an ancient wine press, glassmakers, and other artisans. There will be time to enjoy a coffee and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of this charming village.
