Scenic Drive from Tromsø to Ersfjordbotn
We begin our tour with a scenic drive west from Tromsø, passing through fjords, small villages, and Arctic coastal landscapes.

We make a short photo stop at Ersfjord, a dramatic Arctic fjord surrounded by steep mountains and open sea views. This is one of the most scenic spots near Tromsø and offers an excellent opportunity to capture the raw beauty of Northern Norway. Our guide will share local insights as we take in the peaceful atmosphere.

Scenic Drive toward Sommarøy
We continue with a scenic drive along the outer coast, passing fjords, open sea, and scattered islands as we make our way toward Sommarøy – a picturesque fishing village known for its turquoise waters and dramatic Arctic landscape.

Ørnfløya Hike
We take a hike to Ørnfløya, a hilltop just outside Sommarøy. The trail is suitable for most fitness levels, with an elevation of 155 meters, and typically takes about 30 minutes each way. From the top, you’ll enjoy sweeping 360° views over Sommarøy, Hillesøy, Brensholmen, and the open sea – perfect for landscape photography and quiet appreciation of Arctic nature.

Sommarøy – Lunch and Coastal Relaxation
After the hike, we take a short scenic drive through Sommarøy village before stopping at a small beach and recreation area. Here we enjoy a light homemade lunch outdoors, weather permitting, with sea views and time to unwind. On cold or rainy days, lunch is served in the minibus.

After our visit to Sommarøy, we begin the return journey toward Tromsø along the same scenic coastal road. On the way, we make a short stop at Eide Handel.

We visit Eide Handel – a family-run store known for its local specialties and traditional food products. Guests can browse local meat and seafood products, such as Alpe lamb, smoked salmon, homemade fish cakes, dried fish, and much more. It’s a great place to pick up something special to enjoy later at your accommodation, or to take home as a culinary memory from Northern Norway.
