Important Information
•
Public transportation options are available nearby
•
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
•
Minimum age : 14 years. Arctic nights can be intense, and the presence of children could affect the comfort of the family and the group.
•
Clouds over Tromso? No problem! The tour takes place outside the city in search of clear skies. Weather forecasts change often – please contact me before cancelling if you have any uncertainties.
•
Even if I provide suitable thermal suits for Arctic temperatures, I strongly recommend wearing basic winter clothing (base layers).
•
The Northern Lights is a completely unpredictable natural phenomenon. Nights without the Northern Lights are rare, but occur. Therefore, the Northern Lights can never be guaranteed 100%.
•
To ensure a pleasant atmosphere for all participants, smoking is not allowed throughout the tour – even during breaks outside the vehicle. Even a short cigarette outdoors can make jackets and gloves smell strongly of smoke, which can be very uncomfortable for other guests in a tight minivan.

Tromso
To admire the Northern Lights in the best possible way, we must leave Tromsø's light pollution behind and immerse ourselves in the wilderness of the Arctic. Which direction we take depends on the weather of the evening : clouds can obscure the northern lights, so your priority is to find a clear sky. If necessary, we can even cross the border into Finland!

Once we have found the ideal place, we choose a place where we are all to ourselves, away from other tours and artificial lights. Waiting is part of the experience : the Northern Lights can appear after a few minutes or only after a few hours. To make the wait pleasant, we light a campfire, enjoy homemade soup, cookies and hot chocolate, and I'll tell you all the secrets of this natural wonder. In winter, temperatures can be between +5°C and -30°C, so I provide thermal suits to all participants.
If you have a camera, I'll show you how to adjust it optimally to capture the Northern Lights. I also take professional photos of you myself so you can take home a lasting memory of this magical night.

It is important to know that nature is unpredictable : rarely can the sky remain overcast or solar activity be weak. But even on uncertain evenings, 20 minutes of cloud gap is often enough for a breathtaking spectacle. Thanks to my knowledge of local weather and modern tools, we maximize the chances of being in the right place at the right time.
