The tour continues along Uzun Sokak, Trabzon's busiest and most popular street, where our guests stop at a carefully selected local restaurant to enjoy a tasting of the world-famous Akçaabat Meatballs. While enjoying traditional Turkish coffee and Turkish delight, they listen to the legendary love story of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and Hürrem Sultan. During this stop, guests have the opportunity to see the birthplace of Suleiman the Magnificent, the statue of his father, Sultan Selim I (Yavuz Sultan Selim), and the historic church that was converted into Trabzon's first mosque by Sultan Mehmed II (Fatih Sultan Mehmet) following the Ottoman conquest of the city, and has since been known as the Fatih Mosque.
