Before the tasting begins, they are introduced to Trabzon, its fascinating history, and its rich culinary heritage. While enjoying the freshly baked Trabzon simit together with the guide, guests learn about this traditional delicacy, its unique characteristics, and why it has become such a beloved part of everyday life for the people of Trabzon. At Meydan Park, the guide also shares fascinating stories about the historic Former Municipality Building, the panoramic view of Boztepe overlooking the city, and the passion behind Trabzonspor, before the tour continues.

The tour continues along Uzun Sokak, Trabzon's busiest and most popular street, where our guests stop at a carefully selected local restaurant to enjoy a tasting of the world-famous Akçaabat Meatballs. While sharing the story behind this iconic specialty and explaining its traditional preparation, our guide serves each guest a tasting menu consisting of two Akçaabat meatballs, a fresh salad, and a glass of ayran, Türkiye's beloved traditional yogurt drink. After the tasting, the group continues to Kostaki Mansion, widely regarded as Trabzon's most beautiful historic residence and now home to the Trabzon Museum. In front of this magnificent landmark, our guide introduces the fascinating history and architectural significance of the mansion.

The journey then continues to another carefully selected local restaurant, tucked away on one of Trabzon's charming backstreets and renowned for its authentic regional cuisine. Here, our guests enjoy a traditional tasting menu featuring kaygana, kuymak (muhlama), su böreği, hamsikuşu, and stuffed black cabbage leaves (kara lahana sarması). After experiencing these authentic flavors of the Black Sea region, the tour continues through the city.

After enjoying these local delicacies, our guests continue their journey to Tanjant Avenue, the world's first street named after a mathematical term. From there, they take a pleasant five-minute walk to Saint Anne (Santa Ana) Church, the oldest surviving church in Trabzon, dating back to the period before the Empire of Trebizond (Pontus). Admission to the church is free of charge. Here, our guide shares the fascinating history and architectural significance of this remarkable monument before allowing guests approximately five minutes to explore the church at their own pace.

Our guests continue through Mumhaneönü and stop at one of Trabzon's hazelnut wholesale stores to taste hazelnuts, one of the region's most important agricultural products. While enjoying complimentary hazelnuts offered by our guide, they learn about the significance of hazelnut cultivation in the Black Sea region and its important role in the local economy. The tour then proceeds to Tabakhane, a historic neighborhood that was once the center of Trabzon's leather tanning industry. Passing beside the historic Tabakhane Mosque, the group crosses the picturesque Tabakhane Bridge and continues towards Ortahisar, Trabzon's Old Town. Along the way, the group stops in front of the Former Governor's Mansion (Old Provincial Government Building), where the guide shares the history and importance of this remarkable landmark. Afterward, our guests arrive in the heart of Ortahisar, the city's historic center, ready to continue discovering Trabzon's rich cultural heritage.

In the heart of Ortahisar, Trabzon's historic Old Town, our guests take a short break at the venue now known as the House of Suleiman the Magnificent. While enjoying traditional Turkish coffee and Turkish delight, they listen to the legendary love story of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and Hürrem Sultan. During this stop, guests have the opportunity to see the birthplace of Suleiman the Magnificent, the statue of his father, Sultan Selim I (Yavuz Sultan Selim), and the historic church that was converted into Trabzon's first mosque by Sultan Mehmed II (Fatih Sultan Mehmet) following the Ottoman conquest of the city, and has since been known as the Fatih Mosque.

Crossing the historic Zağnos Pasha Bridge, our guests enjoy spectacular views of Trabzon Castle, its ancient fortification walls stretching along the hillside, and the historic water channels flowing beneath the bridge. They also see the former Castle Dungeons, which today serve as a public library, as well as the imperial tughra (royal monogram) of Sultan Mehmed II (Fatih Sultan Mehmet) engraved on the castle walls. As the guide shares the fascinating stories behind these remarkable landmarks, the group continues their walk toward the historic Castle Gate, one of the most significant entrances to Trabzon's centuries-old fortified city.

Our guests then make their way to the Women's Market (Kadınlar Pazarı), one of Trabzon's busiest and most vibrant marketplaces. As they walk alongside the historic castle walls on their right, they have the opportunity to admire examples of Trabzon's traditional houses and charming old neighborhoods. Passing the New Municipality Building, they take a brief look at Trabzon's oldest historic harbor.
After hearing the fascinating history of the harbor from our guide, the group continues to the lively and colorful Women's Market. Inside the market, they visit a carefully selected local shop where they enjoy a tasting of traditional homemade Trabzon cheeses accompanied by rich, homemade Trabzon butter. The culinary journey continues at a local artisan bakery, where our guests sample Trabzon's famous large, round, crispy bread with its distinctive dark brown crust, as well as traditional cornbread, both freshly baked using local recipes passed down through generations.

Together with our guide, our guests continue to the Moloz Fish Market, where they enjoy a tasting of Trabzon's most iconic local specialty—crispy fried Black Sea anchovies (hamsi tava). Depending on the fishing season and daily availability, if anchovies are not available, guests are instead served a tasting of whiting (mezgit) or horse mackerel (istavrit), two of the region's most popular and widely enjoyed fish. To conclude this delicious culinary journey, our guests visit a carefully selected local restaurant to taste Hamsiköy Sütlacı, Trabzon's world-famous baked rice pudding. Prepared using a traditional recipe passed down through generations, this beloved dessert provides the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable Black Sea gastronomic experience.

The tour continues to the historic Bedesten, the city's centuries-old covered marketplace, before arriving at Bakırcılar Yokuşu (Coppersmiths' Street), one of Trabzon's most iconic artisan quarters.
