Guga S'thebe
Visit this District 6 Museum which provides a lot of information about the forced removals of 1968. Learn how the locals were ill treated as they were forcibly removed from their area to what is now called the townships. This is were the poorest live and that time it was as per racial groupings.
Visit Guga's Thebe an Art and Cultural centre where the locals meet to showcase their talents. They meet for performing arts and local community issues.
Take a 10 minute African drum lessons. This is one of the most popular activities here. Inside this place is some artist teaching local kids how to do pottery. Take this opportunity to buy yourself an African Big 5 pottery cup and a host of other fancy pottery wares.
Visit the local Apartheid museum and be taken around by the local guide getting a detailed explanation. Learn about how the locals were treated by the government of apartheid. Go through some of the historical information from the local guide and the posters on the walls.
