This is followed by the start of the sightseeing tour of this colonial city through its grand structures like majestic St. Fort Gorge and Museum, a prestigious landmark of the city, now houses a Legislative Assembly. The museum of St. Fort George, which is one of the prime tourist attractions of the city has an interesting collection of arms, uniforms and paraphernalia of various ranks of British Army, silverware and other antiquities.
The trip is continued further with a visit to the Government Museum. Buddhist Ruins finds a prominent place in the museum. Next, drive to Mylapore to visit Kapaleeshwar Temple. The shrine is famous for its architecture and the reverence that it holds in the hearts of Tamil people.
