The tour starts at 3:00 a.m. with pick-up from the hotel in Cusco. We cross the Andes to Paucartambo for breakfast. Then we follow the viewpoint of Ajanaco, entrance to the Reserved Zone of the Manu, where the search is made. Weather permitting, you will appreciate the cloud forest and the transition between the Andes and the Amazon. We descend through the cloud forest watching tropical birds, monkeys and hopefully the bespectacled bear. It is also possible to spot the rooster of the rocks, national bird of Peru. At noon we arrived at the port of Atalaya, where we received boots and vests. From there, we continue about three hours along the Madre de Dios River to Explore Golden Lodge, watching turtles, monkeys and birds along the way. Upon arrival, the rooms are assigned. In the afternoon we take a hike in the jungle and in the evening, dinner is served. It is a long day, but full of nature and emotion.
