The journey to Gierłoż takes approximately 4.5 hours and leads through the scenic landscapes of northern Poland. Along the way, your guide provides historical context, explaining the rise of Nazi Germany, the outbreak of World War II, and Poland’s experience under occupation. This time also allows for questions and discussion, helping you better understand the events connected to Wolf’s Lair before arriving at the site.

Upon arrival, explore Zone I, the central and most fortified part of Hitler’s headquarters. Here you’ll see the remains of the Führer’s bunker and key command buildings. Learn how the complex was secured, how daily life and military planning functioned at the headquarters, and how the famous Operation Valkyrie assassination attempt by Claus von Stauffenberg unfolded in July 1944.

Enjoy an optional lunch break at a local restaurant housed in a former guard garage. Traditional Polish dishes are available. Lunch is not included in the tour price.

Continue to Zone II, an area once used by officers of the Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Organization Todt. Unlike the museum area, this zone remains largely unrestored, offering a raw and atmospheric impression of the scale and secrecy of the complex.

After the visit, begin the return journey to Warsaw, taking approximately 4 hours, arriving back in the evening.
