Kruja Castle
Start: Your guide meets you at your Tirana hotel lobby or the airport to begin the journey toward Krujë.
The tour starts with a visit to the historic Krujë Bazaar , one of Albania's oldest traditional markets, dating back over 500 years. Built in classic Ottoman style, this charming stone-paved street is lined with wooden shops offering handmade crafts, souvenirs, and local products.
Next, you will enter Krujë Castle , Skanderbeg's historic stronghold and a symbol of 1,500 years of history. A guided walk inside reveals important sites including Skanderbeg's tree, the castle's hidden passage, old residential buildings, the Mosque of Sultan Mehmet, the watchtower, and the fortress's highest viewpoints.
After exploring the castle, drive up Krujë Mountain to the sacred Sari Salltik Cave . This important Bektashi place of worship offers breathtaking panoramic views stretching across Tirana, Krujë, Durrës, and the Adriatic Sea.

Rozafa Castle
After lunch, continue north to Shkodër, one of Albania’s oldest and most cultural cities. Your first stop will be Rozafa Castle, where over 2,000 years of history are preserved within its ancient walls. Enjoy a guided walk through the castle and its museum while taking in stunning views of the surrounding rivers and lake.
Following the castle visit, head to the city center to relax with a coffee or beer along Shkodër’s well-known promenade. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Shkodër, often referred to as the cultural capital of northern Albania.
