Sterkfontein Caves, located about 40 kilometers northwest of Johannesburg, paleontological site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's famously known as the "Cradle of Humankind" due to its rich deposits of early hominin fossils, including Australopithecus and early Homo species.
